Working on this project was very interesting to me because I learned a few unexpected things. Having gone into the project under the assumption that everything I had heard about the golden ratio to be true, it was fascinating to have that assumption broken down. People often say that the golden ratio is present in almost everything, from small nautilus shells to entire galaxy arms, the sad truth is that that's just not the case. However, this isn't to say that learning about the limits of the golden ratio has been disappointing. Rather, the fact that the universe can be described in so many different ways by mathematics is just as awe inspiring.
